No One's Watching

The sleeping face of eternal rest
And the finality of peace
When the sun’s ready to set

Everybody’s angry...
Every one’s sad...
And no one’s watching us tonight

And the sky mourns
As, it hides its stars
Behind a black blanket

And, I look up
When it’s raining again…
We are all alone…no one’s watching us tonight

The starting stanza itself is like bang! "sleeping face of eternal rest" that subtlety in the line...i like your portrayal of ordinary everyday things in a seemingly ordinary scene..yet the beauty your words can bring to the whole picture is what i call magic...feel privileged to read your works...keep writing

every word of the poem is true...
The very theme and the truth behind the poem that how much solace is there when we are not being observed is a notable yet hidden fact.People are scared of the world at some point or the other because nobody is perfect. Therefore, at times the peace you get being in solitude is incomparable..keep writing..

You bring across through your strong use of words, some deep emotions.. which are often undefinable.but felt in the corner of all of our hearts.... Poignant, indeed.

.................reminds me of a hurt sky.....a dark and broken soul......it was great to see the emotions just flowing out.....
