Phoenix Burning
Dawn came upon me with her gentle caress
With the beautiful reminder that night is past
Her warmth drove the pain away
I took flight on the strength of her kiss
The beckoning infinity emboldened me
I spread my wings…in the mad desire
To hug those beautiful clouds
Her companionship made me forget all wishes to land
My wings of fire took us to new heights
Rising on the crest of every wind swell
Soaring gracefully in tandem
All inhibitions left far…far below
My shadow unseen in the ground arose inside me…
It engulfed me…as you left me…
So, here I am at the end of another beginning
Crashed into night…I am the phoenix…burning…

Well its beautiful...but there's another crash of optimism i see there...anyway i guess you're bent towards the grey....its lovely...the personification....i always found this bird too interesting...your lacy language adds to the beauty of the verses...you've actually sketched the image of the bird n your intentions in this poem..n blended them perfectly...that requires a lot of skill....keep writing
Kudos to the strength of your inner eye!!!!
...please where can I buy a unicorn?
