Late Monsoons

Autumn retraces its steps
As yellow turns green again…
And, rolling landscapes seen through a speeding train
Helps me find a friend…

My soul clutches on to a new support
As, new rain meets the old tree
And, she surrenders herself
In a bid to finally be free

The moon-washed smoky verandah
Made dreamy after a couple of pegs
As, rains flood the floodgates
Of hidden pains…

We force time to march on…
While watching the lonely bulbul atop the windswept tree
And, feel the last strains of ektara
In, the vaults of lost memories

hey a good one..It seems these few days full of rain made the poet come closure to the nature . he was lost in its(nature) beauty..a nice description of relationship between rain and the tree...

This is so fresh, so drenched in emotion that anyone can flow with it and lose oneself in a different world altogether....i love the flow..the subtlety...the gentleness....and the lost-in-memories stroke....keep writing

kitni badiya kavita hai ye..
kavi ne bade hi anokhe dhang se samjhaaya hai..
peela rang hara kaise hota hai..
ek inko dost kaise milta hai..
aur ye kya.. kavi ne.. "soul" mention kar ke ye dikhlaaya hai.. ki wo bade spiritual hain..
kavi.. puraani baarish aur naye ped ko badi sundarta se pesh karte hain..
aisi kavita mien.. jahaan chaand bhi peeta hai.. hum poonchte hain kavi se.. kya ye apni kavita kabhi khud bhi padhta hai..?
yaan sirf hum pe hi aisa atyachaar karta hai..?
bolo kavi.. kuch to kaho..

Apeksha spotted the best ... you're right.... that part is truly fresh... well, the rain keeps coming back at different times in different forms, and not many know the real need.. oh but how does it matter ...
