Fear

I shiver…
Thankfully, time marches
The unknown fear of the known sensation
Triggering the pain…from the vault
Of the unstrung violin
I am tired…
Of the eternal desire to sleep
Scared of the new mirror…
Showing the old image
Held in the shackles of freedom,
I want to escape
The embrace of a new lease of life…

I shiver…
Thankfully, it is raining
No one notices…but I know inside…
And I cringe
No one realizes…yet I know
I am scared…
Of the old river on its course
Afraid of the cruel dance of death
She might indulge in…
Yet the rainbow shines
And makes me want to forget the devastating flood
Making me cruel…
With a desire to live

The uncertainty of the individuality
Of my manic depression
And the desperate confusion
Of unexplored and misconstrued love
Halted by a brief journey
I shiver…
Should I live…again?

yes, u live again...the rainbow which makes u wanna live truly is the rainbow that happens after the rains...a rainbow can't happen without the rains......

the sweetness of a fruit is best savoured after we have experienced the sour...
we are scared when we know we are vulnerable...when we know someone can hurt us- but what is life without the risk? when you have limited yourself inside your cage so that your wings will not be hurt or tired while flying..........
the image is old- the image is in our minds; not reflected by the new mirror...we see the mirror and our mind thinks of the image..but the new mirror might be reflecting something thats going unnoticed .....

i am really amazed at the way you expressed yourself here ... hope your rainbow has a lasting impact on you so that you can live a life of hope, beauty and love .. that keeps you away from your desperate depression.... I love this poem...

Its so deep that I still can't seem to come out of it..It so beautifully portrays that uncertainty we feel at the threshold of a fresh start...Its subtle and very easy to feel yet difficult to explain..But of course, who else other than you can explain inexplicable emotions better? I love it...Its great...Keep writing
